This VRBO is a shotgun double in a quiet neighborhood of historic homes just blocks to the St. Charles streetcar line that takes you to the French Quarter, Audobon Park, or to transfer points for access to other public transit. Parking was super convenient --there was always a spot available right in front of our unit day or evening. Our unit was thoughtfully decorated and provisioned so we had absolutely everything we needed or could have wanted. We found the beds to be very comfortable, the living area with big TV very comfortable for the 3 of us to gather, and the front porch with rocking chairs and a very nice shared back courtyard/patio with table nice places to gather when we wanted to hang outside in the evenings. There are cute neighborhood bars within a few blocks walking. The neighborhood has beautifully landscaped homes, so even commuting to public transit stops was a great experience. David, the host, was very attentive, and I am certain that if we needed anything, he would have been at-the-ready to help. Unless you want to be able to stumble home late at night walking from Bourbon street, I would recommend this unit for sure.

Great place and walkable to good places.

Clean and spacious house in great neighborhood with easy walking to shops, restaurants and local bars. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the mornings with a coffee and a book.

The house was great! Everything was very tidy and comfortable, and the location is perfect for walking around or accessing the streetcar. David was extremely responsive and made check-in and check-out easy. I would definitely stay here again, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable home away from home in the Garden District.
